Alienware to Invade The Gadget Show Live!

The first ever Gadget Show Live takes place in the NEC Birmingham from Friday 17th April to Sun 19th April 2009 and is set to be the UK’s largest interactive technology event. Based on Five’s successful TV programme, gadget hungry visitors will all get the chance to see, try and buy the very latest in consumer electronics.

Alienware will be there as the main sponsor of the 700m 2 Gaming Zone which will feature the ‘Alienware Area-51 PRO Challenge’. This professional eSports tournament for Valve’s Counter-Strike: Source will see pro gamers from around Europe compete for £6,000 prize money. Players will go head-to-head on the latest Alienware Area-51 X-58 Desktops featuring top of the range specifications: Intel Core i7 processors, 6GB of triple DDR3 memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 video cards.

The Intel Extreme Masters III is the biggest ESL event with record prize money of $750,000. The world’s most elite pro-gamers competed in Leipzig, Montreal, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dubai, Seoul and Chengdu before the season’s final showdown in Hanover, Germany at CeBIT 2009.

The Alienware Area-51® desktop was the official tournament PC and was used for every match throughout the season. Spectators had the opportunity to test drive the systems for themselves and compete against the Mousesports Gaming clan.

The legendary Games Convention took place in Leipzig Germany from 21 – 24 August. Breathtaking scenery, pure thrills and adrenaline – and Alienware were right in the middle of it!

This year more than 200,000 visitors had the possibility to witness the unparalleled performance of Alienware on our partner booths @ Intel (Extreme Masters), Ascaron (Sacred2), Bethesda Softworks (Fallout3), Team Speedlink (for a LfS-tournament) and at German online magazine and Alienware partner, 4 Players they had the chance to win an exclusive Alienware desktop with unique Mercenaries 2 artwork – shown below.

GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK builds upon the global interest in the Middle East’s ICT landscape by presenting a power-packed week of dedicated trade events, which includes GITEX Business Solutions, GULFCOMMS and Consumer Electronics.

C4-1 in hall no. 4, at Gitex Business Solutions for a first-hand experience of Smart Living including everything from smart home technologies to enterprise mobility and industry-specific solutions for a smarter life. Also will be able to see Alienware systems at stand no. CB 4 in Central Hall at Gitex Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo 2007 for amazing offers, contests, prizes, promotions and loads of fun & entertainment. Alienware Nukes the WSVG

Alienware exhibited at the recent World Series of Video Games London qualifier presented by Intel at the London Trocadero. The Alienware stand showed off the latest Area-51 7500 desktop systems powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor and gave WSVG attendees a sneak peek of the Area-51 7500 powered by Intel's incredible new Core 2 Quad four core processor. We started out with the idea that WSVG attendees could win an Alienware T-Shirt by beating our staff at DEFCON but no one ever did so we had to give them away... Alienware Powers Team BOC Racing!

Alienware is revving up and hitting the race track in Australia as a sponsor of the V8 Supercar outfit Team BOC. The V8 Supercar series is one of Australia’s fastest growing sports, drawing crowds exceeding 1.7 million per year and is expected to be watched by over 10 million viewers nationwide. In addition to sponsorship, Alienware high-performance desktops and notebooks will be used by Team BOC to analyze critical race data in an effort to gain a competitive edge over their rivals.

The Matrix Online | Warner Brothers

Set immediately after the events of the third motion picture, the Matrix Online will be a massively multiplayer online game. Three powerful organisations-the inhabitants of Zion, the Machines, and Merovingian- struggle for control of the Matrix as thousands of players engage in Matrix-style combat and action in an immense urban environment.

Digitalóide Multimedia Centre Portugal

The opening of the new Alienware powered Digitalóide Multimedia Centre recently took place in Coimbra, Portugal. The Centre, which features a variety of Alienware systems, provides high-tech entertainment and leisure and is now opened to the public.

Futuris Xperience Belgium

Held from 5-7 November, the Futuris Xperience is Belgium's biggest gaming event with an attendence of over 15,000! Alienware collaborated with internet portal Skynet Belgacom to give away an Area-51 system at the event.

RUSH Tour

Alienware has hit the road with the band RUSH! Derivative produced custom live visuals for the Rush 30-year anniversary tour this summer powered by Alienware Area-51m 5500 notebooks. Rush played 55 shows in North America, the UK, Germany and other European cities.

The Game Creators | Alienware Programming Competition

In a game programming competition sponsored by Alienware and DarkBASIC Games, no less than 60 Alienware-based game entries were submitted by aspiring game creators. The final results can only be described as outstanding.

Matthias Meyer

Competing in the General German Automobile Association Volkswagen Polo Cup, race driver Matthias Meyer is off to a strong start and remains the title favorite. Alienware provides the computing platform that analyzes the telemetry from the race car driven by Matthias Meyer so that precise racing hardware adjustments can be made to push performance to the limits.

Cyberathlete Extreme World Championships | NovaLogic

Alienware was spotted at the Cyberathlete® Extreme World Championships in Grapevine, Texas, helping to power a massive LAN multiplayer game! Alienware systems were at full throttle as gamers from the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) played NovaLogics Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, which allows for gigantic 150-player multiplayer games.
