What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a form of online advertising that rewards website owners (Publishers) for promoting other websites (Advertisers).
What is a Publisher?
Also referred to as Associate, Partner, Reseller, or Content site, Publishers are an independent party or website that promotes the products and services of an advertiser in exchange for commission.
What is an Advertiser?
Also referred to as Retailer, E-retailer, or Online Retailer, Advertisers are any website that sells a product or service, accepts payment and fulfils orders. An advertiser places ads and links to their products and services on other websites (Publishers) and pays those publishers a commission for leads or sales that are directed from their site.
What is the Alienware affiliate program?
Alienware has teamed up with TradeDoubler to offer website owners, webmasters, Internet developers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to earn commission through promoting Alienware.co.uk. As a member of the Alienware affiliate program you can earn up to 3.00% commission each time visitors to your website click on the affiliate program creative and go-through and make a purchase on Alienware.co.uk. Why am I registering with TradeDoubler if I am signing up for the Alienware affiliate program?
TradeDoubler are a trusted and highly successful third party affiliate marketing provider who handle affiliate tracking, payment, and reporting. The affiliate account you create is with them. Within the TradeDoubler interface you will find banners, ads, promotional offers, text links, product links, search links, email blasts etc to place on your site or use in your campaigns. TradeDoubler consolidates the commission you earn and pays on a monthly basis directly to you. What is the commission structure for the Alienware affiliate program?
To celebrate the launch of the program Alienware is offering a fantastic introductory offer of 3% commission for every sale generated in November and December. There is also the potential to retain this rate or earn higher once the introductory offer has ended. With a higher-than-average selling price in excess of £1,800 which means more commission-per-sale for you, who better to partner with?
How is commission paid?
TradeDoubler combines all commissions you earn in one payment which is paid by BACS (Bank Automated Clearing System). Payments are issued on a monthly basis. TradeDoubler pay 2 months in arrears. For example, commissions earned in January are paid to the publishers in March of the same year. This is a standard 2-month lag which allows time for Advertisers to review sales and leads in the case of returns, invalid credit cards, or even fraud.
If I have more than one website, is it possible to track them separately but still receive a single payment?
Yes. TradeDoubler enables you to operate multiple websites and URLs with a single TradeDoubler account.
What constitutes a valid “Sale”?
A valid sale is when an order has been referred to Alienware.co.uk through your site or campaign and has been verified by a member of the Alienware team.
Once someone clicks on my link to Alienware.co.uk, how long will they be tracked (when do their cookies expire)?
When someone clicks on an Alienware.co.uk link a cookie will be placed on their computer which will expire 30 days after the cookie has been placed. The user must go onto Alienware.co.uk and place their order within this timeframe.
Is anyone eligible to become a member of the program?
While we’d like everyone to promote Alienware.co.uk, there are occasions when we can’t allow certain sites to participate in our affiliate program. All affiliate applicants are evaluated and notified of being accepted or rejected. An affiliate application may be rejected if we determine, at our sole discretion, that a site is unsuitable for the program. Unsuitable sites include those that:
- Mislead others
- Operate or utilise a Web site or email link to Web sites that contain or promote any of these types of content: libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, violent, bigoted, hate-oriented, illegal, cracking, hacking or warez, or that offer any illegal good or service, or link to a Web site(s) that do so and/or
- Engage in spamming, indiscriminate advertising or unsolicited commercial email
- Engage in cybersquatting or typosquatting
If your application is rejected you are welcome to reapply at anytime. Note that if we accept your application but your site is deemed to be unsuitable at a later date we may terminate your affiliate membership. See TradeDoubler’s publisher agreement for more details.
Am an eligible to participate if I live outside the UK?
Yes, the Alienware.co.uk affiliate program accepts applications from outside the UK. If you reside in France you can sign up to our TradeDoubler France program by clicking here
How are sales tracked?
When you sign up to the program you will have access to a wide variety of buttons, banners, text links, search links etc all of which will have a unique tracking code which you must ensure is added to your site correctly when adding your desired creative.
How do I add banners, logos, text links etc to my site?
After you have signed up for the program you will need to log into TradeDoubler. Click on "My Programs" below the search on the main page or navigate to REPORTS >> Your Programs.
- Click on the program you want to add links / banners from.
- In the program settings interface click on the “Links” tab.
- Click on “Graphical elements” (if there are multiple categories click on the banner category).
- On the Graphical Elements page you may have the option of Text Links, Image Links, and HTML Banners etc. Once you have decided on a link please then click on ‘Show Code’.
- A Pop up will appear with the HTML Code. Now all you need to do is copy and paste this code into your Website.
Alternatively, if you know the program you want to add graphical elements for you can use the search on the main page when you login to your TradeDoubler account. Click on the graphical elements radio button, enter the name of the program in the search field and click search.
How can I fix broken or outdated links on my website?
TradeDoubler strives to keep all links up to date by overwriting older version within the system. Any broken or outdated links will be updated automatically this way. Should the need arise for manual changes from your side, you will be noitified via email.
Can I change my TradeDoubler account information once I’ve registered?
Yes, all account information can be changed within the Settings section of the TradeDoubler site.
Who do I contact for program assistance?

Do I need to sign an agreement to be an Alienware.co.uk affiliate?
Affiliate applicants must agree to the terms of Alienware.co.uk’s Publisher Service Agreement before joining the program.

Yes, Alienware.co.uk will send newsletters with program updates. You can opt out of receiving these.
