Earth's best gaming laptop
If you ever wanted proof that aliens exists, this is it: PC manufacturers Alienware's new gaming laptop, the Area-51 m15x is so ludicrously advanced, the stuff inside must be from another planet, and we've just witnessed it in action for ourselves.
The specs are just silly, offering the multimedia ability of a MacBook Pro with the ability to actually play decent games on its dazzling 15 inch HD display. The Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 processor under the bonnet meanwhile is almost as fast as the speed of light and two NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics cards just for the hell of it.
It's big as well as fast mind, not like those spindly aliend from Signs, packing 4GB memory and a 640 GB hard drive for even the biggest music library, with extra space still to slap in another hard drive or super speedy solid state drive.
And how does it play? Like lightning mixed with a probably illegal addictive substance, that's how. We put it through its paces with Communists and Aliens shoot'em up Crysis, notorious for needing non-existent top-end computers to run on, and it churned out visuals quicker than Usain Bolt with his shoelaces done up.
Don't let anyone tell you you need a desktop for glorious gaming: the Alienware Area-51 m15x has just abducted the competition, and they won't be able to sit down comfortably for months.
The Area-51 m15x is available now from just £949 inc VAT and delivery.
