At present there are three ways to access RSS feeds. The first is through web-based feed readers, the second are browser-based feed readers, also know as aggregators and the third are desktop readers.
Web-based feed readers, such as Windows Live™, Google's Personalised Homepage, and MyYahoo allow you to have all your favourite feeds displayed on a personalised webpage. This means your favourite feeds will be available to you on any PC no matter where you are located.
Browser-based feed readers (aggregators) can be added to your browser as a plugin. Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox browsers come equipped with built-in readers.
Desktop readers can be downloaded to your PC and appear as a Gadget on your desktop. Some popular readers include Feedreader for PCs and NetNewsWire for Macs.
